Pyrethrum
Mosquito Beaters™ uses pyrethrum, an insecticide extracted from chrysanthemum flowers and has been grown in the Western hemisphere for agricultural purposes for nearly 100 years. Pyrethrum is clear, biodegradable and free of allergens and has a low toxicity level.
How the Mosquito Mist Away System™ works:
- The system emits a mist into the air 3-4 times a day (per your required needs)
- The mist is designed to hang in the air for 2-4 minutes
- As insects are driven out of hiding, they encounter the clouds

Pyrethrum, classified as a non-residual insecticide, can be purchased “over-the-counter” at many nurseries and specialty stores. The concentrations of pyrethrum powder used in insecticides are nontoxic to plants and higher animals; therefore, these insecticides find wide use in household and livestock sprays.
The Mosquito Mist Away System™ utilizes a 55-gallon reservoir, control unit, and pump system. A fully automated timer combines reliability with ease-of-use. You simply set the timer, and at the designated time, a light mist is released into the air, eliminating bothersome mosquitoes and other biting insects.
